About
Practical robotics guides for builders.
RoboTechJournal exists because good robotics and AI content is genuinely hard to find. Most tutorials are either too shallow to be useful or assume expertise the reader doesn't yet have. We're here to close that gap.
Our mission
RoboTechJournal was started because learning robotics felt unnecessarily painful. Forums were fragmented, YouTube videos skipped the theory, and manufacturer datasheets assumed you already knew everything. The guides we publish are the ones we wished we'd had when we were starting out.
Our focus is practical, engineering-level content — not marketing fluff. Every article aims to give you a mental model you can actually apply: whether that's wiring a motor driver, tuning a PID loop, or understanding how a SLAM algorithm navigates an unknown room. We cover robotics fundamentals, computer vision, AI hardware, and hands-on build guides for students, hobbyists, and working engineers alike.
We're independent. No investor is telling us which products to cover, and no PR agency is filling our inbox with review requests we feel obliged to say yes to. That independence is something we protect carefully.

Accuracy first
Guides reference technical documentation and state their assumptions. Example code and hardware configurations are not claimed to be physically tested unless we provide test evidence.
No artificial difficulty
Jargon earns its place only when the precise term matters. Where plain language works just as well, we use it. Complexity for its own sake wastes your time.
Honest recommendations
When we recommend hardware, it's because we believe it's genuinely the best option for the use case — not because of who makes it or what margins look like.
Transparent corrections
We get things wrong occasionally. When we do, we correct the article, note the change, and don't pretend it didn't happen.
Some articles on RoboTechJournal contain affiliate links to robotics hardware. If you buy through one of these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Our editorial choices are never influenced by affiliate relationships — we only link to products we would recommend anyway.
